I feel healthier, more energetic

After facing some health issues, I knew I had a long road ahead. By August, as my 40th birthday approached, I wasn’t fully satisfied with my progress, even after losing a significant amount of weight.

A conversation with Matt pushed me out of my comfort zone and led to the idea of doing a photoshoot—something that genuinely terrified me. But as you can see, it became a transformative experience. While I know there’s still room for improvement, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

This journey has taught me valuable lessons. As a teacher with a young family and commitments as Men’s Director of my hockey club, time has always been tight. But my doctor’s pointed question—“Do you want to see your girls get married?”—hit home. I realized being “too busy” was just an excuse. If something matters, you’ll make time—whether it’s hitting the gym at 4:30 AM or squeezing in a session at 9 PM.

Food was another major challenge. Coming from an Indian background, where food is central to life, I had to rethink my relationship with it. Now, a simple question guides my choices: “Do I need that?” It’s been a game changer.

The results speak for themselves: I feel healthier, more energetic, and even my wife Sarah noticed I’ve stopped snoring since losing the weight. My confidence is improving too.
