After training on my own and in a few different gyms over the last few years, I wasn’t getting the results I had hoped for. I was getting fitter but never looking the way I wanted to. I found Legacy online and saw they specialised in aesthetics. After sending them an email I was put in touch with Matt Hall.

Matt has taken me through training 6 days a week for 10 weeks and the knowledge of how to train and what to put into my body is incredible. Always asking how your body feels and tailoring each session to get the best results .

Well, here’s what….
I contacted Matt after hearing about him from a friend at the gym.
If I’m honest I wasn’t completely sold on the idea of working out with a personal trainer but at the time my exercise routine was rolling downhill fast and I needed a real boost in my motivation.
So I gave it a go and signed for the minimum number of sessions.
What a blow it was!!! I signed up for more sessions even before I’d exhausted the first lot!

I couldn’t believe how good I felt after just a couple of weeks: I had a bounce in my step, I felt as if on a natural high!

Matt revealed himself to be very enthusiastic and supportive but his biggest asset is the level of understanding he has of his clients!
He just “gets” it!

No matter what your aim is, Matt will manage to help you get there.
People want different things: from weight loss to muscle tone and increased energy Matt will manage to deliver what you’ve signed up for by designing a program that challenges your specific needs.

He is one of the most professional, friendly and charming personal trainer I know. I would recommend him to anyone looking to feel good about themselves.

I decided to hire Matt after becoming dissatisfied with my training regime which had become boring and which was not delivering the right results despite my efforts. I had reached a point where I was merely going through the motions at the gym and trusting that success would eventually turn up given enough time simply through trial and error. However, this approach was clearly not working and, in my mid 50s, I felt strongly that time was against me if I was to make any improvements to my physique.

What Matt basically did was to start me on something completely new. We talked at length about my goals and he was keen, positive and supportive from the start. He understood right away what I wanted to achieve. He threw out my tired old haphazard methods and gave me a new program which was more intense but which was designed to shock my muscles out of the malaise they were in. I took to Matt’s new program like a duck to water and I have already seen major improvements in my strength and physique in just a couple of months. I enjoy training even more now and with renewed enthusiasm.

He has also given me invaluable information about my nutrition which was probably the one most important subject that I had ignored for many years.

Matt is very focused and works long hours with people to help them achieve their best. He doesn’t blind his clients with science but is able to convey information and ideas in simple terms. This is very important at a time when there is so much confusing and conflicting advice in the public realm concerning fitness and health.

In addition, Matt He is committed to his work and seems to thrive on seeing his clients’ get the results they desire, both physical and psychological. When we look good, we feel good.

My intention is to continue training using Matt’s advice and I believe that I can still make more progress in the coming months. I should have hired him sooner.

It has been amazing training with Matt for the past five years. Since meeting at Equinox and coincidentally both moving to Loughborough, having a familiar face made my time here at Loughborough all the more enjoyable.

Not only is Matt a great trainer, who always has new workouts planned and organising when he’s available to train, he’s become a close friend and has been there to always provide advice and guidance, and I’m going to miss that most!

Fat to Fit at Fifty Five
An uphill struggle – achieved

Getting older presents many challenges for men. Testosterone levels decline, resting metabolic rate reduces and depending on your job, you find you are increasingly desk-bound, working long hours, eating and drinking too much, too late in the day and frequently stressed.

One day you wake up and discover you have become a sedentary, fat, balding, middle-aged bloke and changing that seems an impossible, uphill task.

The first step on the road to change is to do something different and for me that meant realising I needed help from a personal trainer. Matt may be bald, but annoyingly he is not sedentary, fat or middle aged and critically he has just the right personality to encourage you on that uphill struggle. Losing weight and getting fit is not an easy journey with many false starts and ups and downs, but with the right help and encouragement that uphill journey not only becomes possible, but also an enjoyable adventure.

Matt organised for the two of us to focus on our objectives by training in the Gym with our one to one sessions and then having a target of scaling Snowden. It was great fun and a memory I’ll never forget.

Since starting with him about a year ago, I’ve noticed a big difference in my fitness and appearance. He’s educated me on nutrition as well as making sure the workouts he sets up are always challenging but fun.

Matt has been my PT for a few years. I have had 1-2-1 sessions as well as small group sessions.

Really takes care and pays close attention to your body’s strengths and weaknesses. My particular weakness are my knees.  Matt got on top of this by really building the muscles around to support the knees.

Also continually changing the workouts as you get stronger so your body is always moving.

He is also really good fun to be around so you will always look forward to your next session.

I fist met Matt Hall when I was deep and depressed with how I looked and felt with myself. At that time I ate rubbish, drank lots and quite frankly had a terrible lifestyle in general.
I took the plunge and decided to give Matt a call.
When we first met I was nervous on meeting up and going to the gym, but after just a few minutes on speaking to Matt he put me at ease and explained how the journey ahead would be. It was from this point I realised I’d made the right decision to contact him.
